The new AdderLink Infinity 4000 Series (ALIF4000) is claimed to be the world’s first dual-head high-performance 4K IP KVM matrix operating over a single fibre.
It is designed to support keyboard/video/mouse operation while users transition their broadcast and production environments to 4K as it avoids costly infrastructure upgrades.
John Stevens, director of engineering at Los Angeles-based post-production house The Foundation, said: “The launch of the ALIF4000 series gives us the opportunity to take control and add 4K functionality to our existing infrastructure, as and when we need it, without having to rip and replace; meaning we can continue to meet our customers’ growing need for 4K output.”
Adder’s VP EMEA, Jamie Adkin, added that the introduction of the ALIF4000 “means our customers can continue to reap the rewards of their existing network but now with the addition of 4K video support.”
The ALIF4000 is said to deliver pixel-perfect, colour accurate video quality, audio, and USB to single or dual 4K screens (at up to 4K 60p).
Also new for IBC is the AdderLink ipeps+ remote access system, which allows broadcasters to securely manage out-of-band servers and remotely access HD video, in real time, from anywhere in the world at up to 30fps.
Adder is exhibiting at IBC2019 on Stand 7.A17
