Explore the next generations of immersive media with technical papers from Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute, b<>com, Ubisoft Paris, Université Libre de Bruxelles, Telecom SudParis & Institute of Information and Communication Engineering, Zhejiang University.
VR-360 and associated augmented technologies have been in active development for a few years and creative directors have been busily exploring the opportunities and limitations of these exciting immersive media.
Technical standards are only now being set and we can expect these to herald product launches. But research is still advancing to develop experiences which are even more life-like, and most critical are those which improve the perception of image depth and those which seek to avoid user sickness or fatigue.
