IP contribution services specialist Mobile Viewpoint is showcasing new multi-camera functionality features for its IQ Sports Producer all-in-one production suite in Hall 14.
The aim is to remove the need for full production suites and teams at live sports events by adding two new panoramic cameras to the suite. By placing the cameras on the penalty area lines of play, producers are able to capture multiple shots for enhanced sports coverage. Mobile Viewpoint also noted that artificial intelligence functionality enables the generation of sports clips through automatic highlights and summaries.
Michel Bais, CEO, Mobile Viewpoint, said: “Sports fans are craving more and more content, and they want to be able to watch every single game. Major league sports clubs have the muscle and deep pockets to stream every match, but smaller clubs don’t always have the technical and financial means to produce and stream content…The new multi-camera functionality now means these clubs can capture even more content and offer sophisticated coverage and TV experiences that competes with the bigger players.”
New features for Mobile Viewpoint’s VPilot live production platform are also on show. VPilot uses artificial intelligence to automate live productions and is now available in two specific configurations – a lite version which consists of three cameras, aimed at lone reporters and bloggers, event productions and ‘visual’ radio shows; and a premium version that consists of up to 10 cameras, supporting studio and live event coverage. VPilot also now features voice recognition as a means of automating overlays based on who is speaking.
Mobile Viewpoint is exhibiting at IBC2019 on Stand 14.F24.
