Disney reveals streaming service details

Disney has confirmed its streaming service will launch in November with new originals and a host of favourites from Disney and Pixar, as well as The Simpsons and Star Wars.

The Walt Disney Company has announced that its Disney+ streaming service will launch in the US market on 12 November for $6.99 a month with an ‘unparalleled library offerings’.

Content will come from the company’s brands including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, as well as Fox and National Geographic. Disney’s channel brands also include ABC, ESPN, Freeform, FX Network, National Geographic and the Disney Channels.

The service will initially launch in the US with plans to expand globally over the following two years.
