Jérôme Wauthoz, vice president products, Tedial
Jerome Wauthoz joined Tedial in 2017 following more than 22 years at EVS Broadcast Equipment.
He has a deep understanding of live production workflows and extensive experience analysing customer needs across global markets. He launched his career at EVS as a software engineer and subsequently held management-level positions, including R&D manager; product manager and market solutions manager.
Prior to joining Tedial he served as vice president of products, responsible for overseeing the team tasked with developing the company’s next-generation solutions. Jerome holds a degree in Masters in Engineering in Electro-Mechanics from Liège University, Belgium where he also served as an assistant teacher.
Francis Zane, chief technology officer, Kiswe Mobile
Francis has served as CTO of Kiswe since its founding. In that role, he has led development of video processing in the cloud solutions, enabling use cases ranging from remote production to highlight clipping to live commentary, and worked with customers to design custom viewer experiences mixing both backend and frontend technologies.
Before joining Kiswe, he worked at the Bell Labs research arm of Alcatel-Lucent, where he led research departments ranging from fundamental mathematics to economics to video systems research. He holds a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from UCSD, specialising in algorithms and complexity theory.
Mike Ruddell, sports production innovation consultant
Now working as an independent technology consultant, Mike has been at the cutting edge of sports and broadcast technology for the past 19 years. Working as head of technology and more recently innovation manager for Sky Sports with one goal in mind: to give viewers the best possible experience.
Mike owned the roadmap for advanced TV production process and technology in Sky Sports, and was with Sky through its huge growth and raft of technology changes since 2000. Holding a degree in broadcast engineering, Mike started out as technical director on a range of Sky’s news, sport, factual and entertainment studio programming; he later specialised in developing production techniques and technologies for interactive “Red Button” sporting events.
Mike moved to work solely on Sky Sports in 2007, focusing on a broad range of technology applications from behind-the-scenes infrastructure through workflow developments to on-screen advancements.
