IBC2024 will see id3as release Norsk Studio, a live media workflow server with a graphical drag-and-drop user interface that delivers all the essentials for implementing high-quality media workflows, out of the box.

Selecting from a menu of inputs, outputs, and processes in between, users can capture multiple sources and encode multiple formats; package and output to CDN, YouTube, Twitch, etc.; switch among multiple cameras/sources; add graphic overlays; and passthrough subtitles and captions.

Norsk Studio to be released at IBC2024

Norsk Studio will also be available in an Enterprise Edition, which gives users access to the source code for the various components, enabling them to extend those components and add new features. And there’s still Norsk Core, a programmable, dynamic live media workflow engine with an SDK that enables developers to create custom media workflows from scratch for line-of-business applications in a fraction of the time typically required.

Both versions of Norsk Studio and Norsk Core can run on-prem, in the cloud, or in hybrid installations. For added resiliency, they can run on Norsk Manager, which automatically deploys another server or cloud instance if the primary one fails, allowing live events to keep running without interruption.

Adrian Roe, CEO of id3as, said: “Norsk Studio is all about simplifying workflows, but it can meet even complex broadcasting needs. This is highlighted in our involvement with the IBC Connect and Produce Anywhere Phase II Accelerator, where Norsk’s containerised approach allows functionality to be seamlessly delivered on site or at a central location (be that in the cloud or at a broadcasting centre).”

Founded in 2010, id3as has built resilient, custom workflows for global leaders like NASDAQ, Arqiva, and DAZN.
