Digital platform cybersecurity firm Irdeto has named Canal+ executive Axel Gallant as CEO.
Gallant takes over from Doug Lowther who will step down as Chief Executive Officer of Canal+ owned Irdeto.
Gallant has worked at Canal+ since 2013, managing pay-TV businesses for the Group across Africa, Europe and Asia.
Lowther has headed Irdeto since 2015. Earlier in his career at Irdeto, Lowther served as Executive Vice President, Digital TV, expanding the company’s product line to support new services such as video-on-demand and streaming TV.
Lowther and Gallant will work together during a leadership transition period.
