Aqua Broadcast will unveil its Cobalt CP series of high-power FM transmitters at IBC2026, featuring the fully modular, hot-pluggable CP-8000 and CP-10000 broadcast transmitter models.
The CP-10000 is a fully featured 10kW FM transmitter designed for continuous 24/7 broadcast operation. It uses a modular architecture with up to five hot-pluggable 2.2kW RF power modules and a Cobalt C-30 exciter, with a second exciter available as an option. The CP-8000 is an 8kW FM transmitter built on the same platform.
Both models are designed for durability and reliability, with hot-pluggable fans, power supplies and RF power amplifiers allowing components to be replaced without taking the transmitter off air.
Built on the existing Cobalt platform, the CP series includes a range of built-in features as standard. These include FM Scope for real-time RF and modulation analysis, a four-band audio processor, Dynamic RDS, SFN capability, automated audio failover, a scheduler and GPIO.
Security and remote management features include HTTPS and SNMP v1/v2/v3 support, remote firmware updates, email notifications and remote audio monitoring. Audio backup can be sourced locally, via USB, or from Icecast and Shoutcast streams.
