- Technical Papers to be demonstrated at IBC2020 in Amsterdam in September
- Call for Technical Papers is part of IBC’s broader ‘Call for Innovation’
IBC has opened submissions for Technical Papers for the IBC2020 Conference.
The IBC Show is world-renowned for the quality, timeliness and innovative subject matter of its Technical Papers. The event is an excellent opportunity for forward-thinking technologists and companies to unveil their ideas and research to media industry leaders hungry for new technology concepts, their possible uses and practical applications.
The Technical Papers Programme welcomes entries from all industry sectors across the media, entertainment and technology sector and from every discipline, whether you are a professional or a professor, a member of an R&D team, working alone or with a global brand and from across any part of the broadcast, communications, electronic media and entertainment fields.
The Technical Papers selected for 2020 will continue the success of the programme as the scope of media technology continues to diversify well beyond the traditional production and distribution of audio-visual content. Today the industry embraces such developments as 5G, virtualisation, hybrid initiatives, 4k/HDR, machine learning and AI, VR and AR, personalisation and remote production to name just a few. IBC is especially interested in innovative areas like these and the potential that they have for influencing the future of the media and broadcast industry.
Dr Paul Entwistle, Chair of IBC’s Technical Papers Committee, said: “We look forward to receiving many more novel, diverse and intriguing offers of papers from which we will curate the IBC2020 Technical Sessions. The breadth of our audience is a great opportunity for authors to not only showcase their technology to fellow enthusiasts but also to explain its impact on the broader media industry.”
All submissions are rigorously reviewed by a panel of professional experts. Papers accepted for presentation at the IBC Conference, which takes place in Amsterdam from 11-15 September, have the opportunity to win the highly coveted Best Conference Paper Award, presented at the IBC Awards, which will take place on 13 September 2020.
For 2020 the Call for Technical Papers is part of IBC’s broader ‘Call for Innovation’ which will include other opportunities to share innovation across the show.
The deadline for submissions is Monday 3 February 2020. Entries can be submitted at show.ibc.org/technicalpapers
