Data management specialist Dot Group is demonstrating new developments in carbon transparency and high-speed file transfer, addressing the broadcasting industry’s environmental compliance and operational efficiency challenges.
Central to the showcase is GreenDot, a proprietary carbon transparency solution providing real-time monitoring of broadcast IT infrastructure. The application is said to provide insights into carbon footprint and resource utilisation, offering optimisation advice and compliance-ready reports to track emissions while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Dot Group is also presenting IBM’s sustainability portfolio, including IBM Apptio for cloud cost management, IBM Turbonomic for AI-driven resource optimisation, and IBM Envizi for ESG reporting. These products are said to enable broadcasters to optimise operational costs and environmental impact through data-driven decision-making.
IBM Aspera Lite is also being debuted to address accessibility in high-speed file transfer. Described as an entry-level product for smaller broadcast operations, it is available in 100Mbps, 500Mbps, and 1Gbps tiers.
Live demonstrations are showcasing GreenDot’s integration with DataSprint, its high-speed transfer platform supported by IBM Aspera. Stand visitors can explore how the company’s integrated data management approach delivers sustainability compliance and operational efficiency for broadcasters of all sizes.
