Comrex is now shipping the newest addition to its established Access IP audio codec line, Access NX Rack.
Access NX Rack includes AES3 or analogue compatibility, and will feature AES67 compatibility. For users who are interested in implementing AES67 compatibility immediately, Comrex is also releasing a test version of AES67-compatible firmware for the product, and is seeking customers willing to provide feedback on functionality and compatibility.
Access NX Rack supports a wide array of connection protocols and encoders, and can connect to WiFi and 4G modems. It is driven by a new HTML5-based web user interface and is compatible with all Comrex IP audio codecs as well as the Comrex FieldTap smartphone app.
Access NX Rack comes with Switchboard Traversal Server, which was created to make it easy to make connections between Comrex IP codecs, even when broadcasting over networks that have firewalls, routers and other IT snags. It also includes HotSwap, a new function included with the latest version of Access firmware that allows users to designate one network as a backup that will only engage when the primary network has failed.
Comrex Corporation is exhibiting at IBC2019 in P45 Pods.
