The latest developments from key component suppliers to the broadcast industry are on display on the L2Tek stand this year.
Semtech is demonstrating its 12G SDI devices working over 100m of cable, as well as previewing the new UHD gearbox with HDMI 2.0 output. Also on show from Semtech is the BlueRiver AV-over-IP chipsets – the world’s only chipsets to transport uncompressed, zero-latency Ultra HD/4K HDR over standard Ethernet.
In a year that has seen an unprecedented uptake in IP infrastructure, Embrionix has continued to grow its portfolio of IP I/O and processing platforms with SFP+ based edge devices, standalone IP gateways and the new emVIRTU media processing platform. In addition to the IP components, Embrionix continues to develop its SDI emSFP range with products such as its 12G optical receiver with full pathological capability.
To complement L2Tek’s Embrionix franchise and to provide cost-effective IP infrastructure solutions, the company now supplies optical transceivers, direct attach cables, passive optical components and MPO high density cabling from Gigalight. The company was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in Shenzhen, China, focusing on the development of DCI optical interconnection technology and high-definition video optical transmission.
At IBC you can also see the CoreEL ST2110 IP 4 channel packetizer / depacketizer core with NMOS support, targeted at Xilinx devices. With the increase in speed especially for 25G interfaces comes an increase in power requirement. Said the company: “L2Tek are excited to have signed an agreement this year with ABB power with the heritage of GE and a wide selection of devices aimed specifically at these applications.”
L2Tek is exhibiting at IBC2019 on Stand 10.F24.
