The company is introducing a new remote editing product aimed at media organisations that have extensive, critical in-the-field production needs.

Dalet Remote Editing is a highly scalable framework that brings full-featured multimedia editing capabilities and speed to editors working at remote offices without requiring a PAM/MAM at every location.

Remotes: Creatives in the field can access content from any location

Remotes: Creatives in the field can access content from any location

The Dalet Remote Editing framework securely connects journalists, producers, editors and other content creators to the central content hub, enabling the in-the-field/remote users to edit, assemble, collaborate and quickly submit packages or download high-resolution media to finalise locally, even in low-bandwidth situations.

This first release of the new Remote Editing framework supports Dalet OneCut natively with subsequent updates supporting Dalet Xtend-compatible third-party editing applications. The Remote Editing framework leverages the Cloud infrastructure and Dalet smart-caching technology to eliminate problematic security, latency and other roadblocks that can limit remote productions.

Dalet Digital Media Systems is exhibiting at IBC2019 on Stand 8.B77 and 15.MS28.
