Elation unveils new ellipsoidal light

The new, all-in-one KL Profile FC from Elation Professional aims to simplify ellipsoidal lighting. The high CRI framing fixture with built-in zoom can also perform as a versatile wash luminaire, offering designers greater flexibility, claims the company.

Awash with versatility: Elation’s new all-in-one KL Profile FC ellipsoidal light

Its 305W 5-color homogenised LED array is an RGBMA (red, green, blue, mint, and amber sources) unit calibrated at a native colour temperature of 6500K, with an output of 10,600 lumens. It includes green/magenta shift adjustment and a virtual gel library, virtual colour correction from 2400K - 8500K plus CMY and RGB emulation. The LED refresh rate is DMX adjustable so there is no flickering when used with high-speed cameras.

It has an integrated manual zoom range of 7° to 50° and allows for manual rotation of the barrel and the integrated manual iris for further beam control. It includes a 16-bit rotating/indexing gobo slot for versatile imaging and ships with the KL Profile Designer Gobo Set of ten high-resolution glass gobos. The unit includes a 7.5in gel frame and 7.5in front accessory holder, while an optional Fresnel Wash Lens Conversion Kit allows its use as a framing wash.
