At IBC2026, KAI, backed by EIT Culture & Creativity, will launch dedicated trial environments that enable production companies to test the platform on their own productions, using their own audiovisual content and workflows rather than working from a generic demonstration.
KAI was jointly developed by Gestmusic and Amplify within a European innovation project supported by EIT Culture & Creativity, with research collaboration from Fraunhofer IPK and an AI analysis core developed by Ugiat Technologies.
The AI-powered storytelling platform has been designed to bring AI into professional storytelling workflows, helping production teams work with large volumes of footage and move from content discovery and story development towards the edit.
The platform connects content understanding, story creation and editing in a single narrative workflow. It can automatically index large volumes of content into searchable story elements, help editorial and post-production teams explore narrative approaches, and convert approved story structures into edit-ready builds for the non-linear editing (NLE) suite.
KAI will also demonstrate an extension panel integrated directly into Adobe Premiere Pro. Editors and producers can search and navigate footage, generate and refine story options using natural-language prompts, and send selects and story structures directly into the timeline without leaving the editing environment.
Miquel Garcia, Head of Postproduction at Gestmusic, commented: “By combining Gestmusic’s deep knowledge of storytelling with advanced AI capabilities, we are launching a tool that empowers creative teams while fully respecting the human nature of the creative process.”
KAI will exhibit at stand 14.FT109, as part of EIT Culture & Creativity’s presence in the Future Tech Innovation Village alongside 20 other European start-ups and EIT Culture & Creativity strategic partners.
EIT Culture & Creativity has opened a funding call offering up to €8.6m in funding and tailored acceleration support for creative European tech start-ups operating in architecture, audiovisual media, and fashion. Discover more here.
