Thiago Abreu, Project Manager, Globo TV
Graduated in Electrical/Electronic Engineering at UERJ, post-graduated in Networks and Video over IP at UFRJ, has an executive MBA at COPPEAD and an extension course in Responsible Management in Audencia (Nantes, FR). He has over 16 years in the Television and Media & Entertainment industry contributing to the development of competitive differentials for Globo and collaborating with M&E Ecosystem for the industry acceleration. Thiago has been dedicating his career to implementing projects that drive technological innovations for the entire audiovisual media value chain, and he has developed a solid experience in project management, high potential people development and a well-balanced expertise on capturing value for the business throughout people, technology and process.
Orestis Varesis, Product Manager, Seervision
Orestis has been Product Manager at Seervision for the past two years. His focus is on driving the product strategy, and ensuring that Seervision’s product development remains focused on the needs of their users.
Orestis has been a part of the team at Seervision since 2017, when he joined as a Robotics Engineering Intern whilst completing his Masters at ETH Zurich. Originally from Greece, Orestis moved to Switzerland in 2016 to study, basing his thesis around the development of unique algorithms to autonomously film and track moving subjects with a filming dolly.
With a background in electrical engineering and a focus on robotics and control, Orestis’ decision to focus on autonomous filming brought him straight to Seervision. His expertise has made him invaluable for gathering and aggregating insights from end customers and partners and turning them into features in the Seervision Suite. His work contributes towards defining and executing the product roadmap and the overall direction of the product at Seervision.
Will Waters, Head of Product Management for NewTek, part of the Vizrt Group
Will Waters has an extensive background in A/V and broadcast workflow design with practical implementation. During his tenure at NewTek, Waters led the creation of a sales organization in EMEA, and oversaw the launch and delivery of numerous NewTek video solutions, including NDI®. Most recently, as Vice President of Customer Success for NewTek, Waters was responsible for the design and implementation of extensive NDI-based workflows. Waters is a proven industry expert in networking, configuration, and implementation of IP, media transport, and software-based live video production solutions. As Head of Product Management, Waters works in the Vizrt Group R&D division and drives the plans and execution for product strategy.
Waters has served in roles as sales engineer and top-level support at NewTek. Prior to joining NewTek he was a systems designer and integrator, designing large-scale production video systems and streaming solutions.
