António Castanheira, OTT Product Manager, SIC
António Castanheira has more than 20 years of experience in the television and media industry. He was responsible for the optimisation and delivery of SIC’s international television channels and he also played a key role in international business development of the whole SIC International department, identifying and cultivating global business opportunities.
He’s now in charge of the operational excellence of the first Portuguese OTT platform – Opto SIC. His role includes defining product roadmaps, overseeing engineering efforts and ensuring seamless platform operations.
Robin Oakley, Distribution Technology Leader, Formerly DAZN
Robin Oakley has over 20 years’ experience in the broadcast technology industry. In that time, he has worked for some of the biggest brands including MTV and Discovery. His work has seen him delivering diverse projects and teams around the world. Robin’s expertise covers a wide range of content distribution technologies including DVB, IP and OTT streaming. Most recently Robin spent seven years at DAZN and held the position of VP, Distribution Technology, building and leading a team responsible for the streaming distribution of thousands of live sporting events to millions of subscribers globally via DAZN’s OTT platform.
Ramesh Panchagnula, Senior Director, Engineering (Video, Playback and R&D)
With over 20 years of experience in the US and India, Ramesh is a proven technology leader in the media processing and streaming space, with a track record of having delivered immersive and seamless video experiences to billions of users worldwide. He currently leads and oversees technology for video, player, as well as the R&D teams at a largest premium streaming platform in India and Southeast Asia, and a subsidiary of one of the world’s leading producers and providers of entertainment and information.
In his current role, he is responsible for the product vision, strategy, roadmap, revenue goals, and investments for the live and VOD delivery at scale. He has managed the video backend and streaming for some of the most popular and high-profile sports events, such as the Indian Premier League (IPL), the ICC World Cup, and the English Premier League, and having managed a world-record peak concurrent viewership of 44 million. He is also pushing the frontiers of OTT technology, collaborating with industry leaders and exploring new ways to enhance the quality, performance, and interactivity of the video streaming and playback. He also drove strategic technology initiatives with key partners such as Facebook, Apple, Sony, Dolby and others in the space.

Keran has over 10 years experience in running content programmes for B2B media houses, most recently leading the content at the IBC Show. She has global experience working with mediatech and broadcast firms, and has a strong personal interest in climate action. Keran has an LLB from the University of Cape Town and an MSc from the University of Dundee.
