Natural interactions with 3ReadyHero from 3SS

At IBC2025, software provider 3 Screen Solutions (3SS) will be showcasing 3Ready Hero, which makes use of gen AI to enable natural ‘conversational’ interactions on Android TV set-top boxes. The standalone product integrates with the custom launcher on the device and connects to any backend, recommendation engine, or individual telco or operator system.

Pierre Donath, CMO and CPO at 3SS, said 3Ready Hero “helps improve customer satisfaction and engagement by making it possible to speak with a set-top in the same way that you would with a friend”.

According to Donath, the conversational user interface (CUI) relies on different large language models (LLMs) “to optimise for specific use cases and deliver results to viewers that are more accurate and helpful, while making the solution cost-efficient”.

“We’re not replacing global voice assistants or recommendation engines, we’re providing a more flexible CUI solution designed specifically for TV, able to adjust as rapidly as LLM models evolve,” added Donath.
