ITV’s streaming service ITVX has achieved a billion streams in a quarter for the first time ever.
ITVX crossed the billion streams mark in the first quarter of 2025, according to a statement by ITV.
The company said that soaps Coronation Street and Emmerdale have had a strong start to the year, with 124 million streams on ITVX. Soap viewing is up +35% on Q1 2024, with episodes now available from 7am to stream ahead of their evening broadcast.
Entertainment has been another big contributor, achieving 133 million streams in Q1, up 22% on last year driven by shows such as Britain’s Got Talent, The Masked Singer, and The 1% Club.
ITVX said that drama has had over 300 million streams thanks to series such as Unforgotten, Playing Nice and Protection.
England's game against France in Six Nations rugby as well as the Calcutta Cup (England vs Scotland) both saw a peak of more than 6 million viewers respectively.
The return of Love Island All Stars is ITVX’s biggest single title this year with over 100 million streams.
