Norigin Media has partnered with SoundCloud to launch the creator-first platform’s new UI/UX on connected TV. It said SoundCloud’s app will be therefore be made available to a broader audience of music fans and consumers.
Norigin noted that SoundCloud is already recognised for shaping music culture and empowering millions of creators across the globe to share and monetise their work. It said the new collaboration will expand SoundCloud’s reach into CTV for fans to consume content in a new way on larger screens. Norigin Media will engineer the UI/UX and support the certification on the CTV app store.
According to the release, the SoundCloud app already has millions of downloads on a range of platforms including iOS and Google Play app stores. This agreement will see it expand to a new operating system on CTVs.
Ajey Anand, CEO of Norigin Media, said: “This app from SoundCloud will stand out strongly in any app store, as its audio and music already set it apart in the streaming ecosystem, often referred to as ‘the audio-only YouTube’.”
