Canon’s new CR-N100 4K PTZ for indoor use is claimed to bring “the excellent image quality and performance that Canon PTZ cameras are known for at a lower price point”.
Canon has also introduced the RC-IP1000, a high-end remote camera controller for professional systems, and released a new Multi-Camera Management Application to streamline the configuration and management of supported Canon PTZ, professional video and cinema cameras - it will be available in November as a free download and can manage up to 200 individual camera units in one set up.
The CR-N100 features a 1/2.3in CMOS sensor with a Digic DV6 image processor for 4K/30p video capture. It has a 20x optical zoom lens with a focal length of 29.3-601mm, with four scene modes: portrait, sports, low-light, and spotlight, which users can choose to suit the subject.
It supports NDI|HX for high-quality, low-latency video and control, SRT for secure high-quality video streaming over public networks, and RTP/RTSP/RTMP(s) for live streaming. It also supports Canon’s XC protocol for easy integration into Canon production environments, as well as HDMI and the USB Video Class (UVC) transmission standard for web conferencing.
