Haivision’s StreamHub receiver is now available on the AWS marketplace on a pay-as-you-go (PAYG) basis, making it easier to leverage the Haivision MoJoPro camera app for live broadcast contribution from anywhere.
The combined products have been tailored for individuals looking to use a smartphone to cover breaking news, sports, and other types of live events. MoJoPro sends live video over cellular networks to a Haivision StreamHub receiver, which can then integrate into the rest of the live production workflow.
Haivision MoJoPro
Haivision MoJoPro is a free professional mobile camera app that enables any user with a smartphone to contribute high-quality video to a live broadcast production workflow, on-prem or in the cloud. MoJoPro bonds a smartphone’s 4G or 5G cellular modem with a Wi-Fi or Mi-Fi network for increased bandwidth and stability when streaming with Haivision’s award-winning SST protocol.
StreamHub
Haivision StreamHub is a powerful and versatile IP stream receiver, transcoder, and distribution platform that inputs live feeds and files from Haivision mobile video transmitters, Haivision Rack encoders, and the MoJoPro app.
When used with the MoJoPro app, StreamHub can receive one or more live video feeds from smartphones and transcode them into different bitrates, framerates, and resolutions, and converts IP protocols for downstream compatibility.
Getting started on AWS
Users can download the Haivision MoJoPro smartphone app, before visiting AWS Marketplace and searching for Haivision StreamHub with MoJoPro support. This PAYG option includes both StreamHub and the MoJo Pro license. It comes in three different capacities with a varying number of inputs and outputs, 4, 8, or 16, that can receive MoJoPro feeds. Once the StreamHub instance on AWS is up and running, the user can determine the IP address and enter it into the MoJoPro app to begin streaming live.
