Lisa Opie has been confirmed as the Chair of industry skills body ScreenSkills, to support “sustainable careers” in the UK’s film and TV industry.
Opie served as Interim Chair of ScreenSkills since April 2024 and is currently Managing Director of Ubisoft Reflections and Ubisoft Leamington Studios, as well as a former Managing Director of UK Production at BBC Studios, and former Managing Director of Channel Five.
Opie will work closely with ScreenSkills Chief Executive Laura Mansfield in setting the strategic direction of the organisation, which includes overseeing the development and implementation of ScreenSkills’ strategy, as well as overseeing budget approvals, financial planning, and risk management practices.
Opie will also lead the recruitment, induction, and development of ScreenSkills Trustees, ensuring that the Board has the necessary skills, expertise and diversity of perspectives.
