For the fifth consecutive year, the Awards recognise inspirational women and companies who are stand-out performers, innovators and leaders in the global broadcast media technology industry. Rise was formed in 2017 to support and promote women working in the non-craft part of the broadcast industry in operations, engineering, sales, marketing and business. Since its conception, Rise has grown to become a global network hosting events at IBC, Broadcast Asia and NAB.
Submissions and nominations are encouraged from across the global broadcast media technology audience to showcase talent across the industry whether in a manufacturer, service provider, engineer or broadcaster role.
Entrants can be nominated, or they can nominate themselves. All applications will require statements on the nominee and why they are relevant for the award. The judges, across the categories, are looking for the best demonstration of exceptional achievement, innovation, positive impact, and the ability to fulfil the criteria.
Donna Smith, Managing Director of Rise, said: “Now in its fifth year, we are delighted to present the 2023 Rise Awards. Last year’s event saw women travel from Australia, Canada and the US, with winners dialling in from Bhutan, Mexico and a holiday in the Scottish Highlands. With our new bigger venue, we know that the Rise Awards will be the place to be this year to celebrate the women and allies in our industry. It would not be possible without the support of our sponsors, especially Sky and EMG, and we can’t wait to congratulate everyone involved later on in the year.”
