Anton/Bauer’s 2.5kWh Eden battery energy storage system, which will be on show on the Videndum stand, can output all its capacity in an hour.
For productions seeking environmentally sustainable set ups, it effectively replaces a small generator. It includes four USB-C PD ports, is equipped with either two European, UK or US-style AC electrical sockets, and delivers a pure sine wave output to ensure no interference on-set.
Andrew Hutton, Head of Products, Anton/Bauer, said: “It is IP65 rated; you can leave it out in the rain, and it has solar input so you can extend it.”
The system also be used as an uninterruptible power supply, with units daisy chained together for extra power. It can be charged and discharged simultaneously, which Hutton claims is unique, “and gives it greater flexibility”.
Eden is claimed to be ideal for use with lighting set ups, or for pitch-side camera positions that need to be rigged and de-rigged during half time. “You can do lights, monitors and transmission, and charge your batteries, at the same time,” Hutton said. “It’s your own little personal power pack.”
