Polar Graphics to launch LTO archive expansion at IBC2025

Post-production equipment supplier Polar Graphics will launch an expansion to its linear tape-open (LTO) archive solution, the Polar-Arc Professional, at IBC2025.

Polar Graphics partnered with Ortana Media Group to provide a fully integrated plug-in to its Polar-Arc product line. This web-based graphical user interface (GUI) module expands the capabilities of the Polar-Arc LTO/cloud-based archive powered by XenData.

Polar-Arc Professional enables the user to expand the capabilities of the Polar-Arc Standard solution to additional applications and storage nodes through the extensive Ortana Harness connections already deployed worldwide.

With Polar-Arc Professional, users can now browse, search, copy, move, migrate, and sync data between any of the application/storage nodes in addition to archiving and restoring data from the Polar-Arc system. The Polar-Arc LTO archive systems are now available throughout EMEA.

Polar Graphic’s Managing Director Peter Rowsell commented: “We are combining the best functionalities of two leaders in LTO/cloud archiving and data orchestration with more than 35 years of development experience collectively behind them. We are joining them with our own GUI to tie them together for ease of use and direct connectivity. This is all installed on cost-effective enterprise-class servers and with full European support.”
