Making light work of heavy audio equipment with OR-440 sound harness

The Orca OR-440 sound harness for mixer sound bags is designed for heavy audio equipment. It protects users by distributing the weight via an adjustable, removable aluminium spine, which takes the weight from the shoulder straps to the hips, by connecting the waist belt and top vest together.

On the waist belt it has unique roller buckles to tighten the belt around the user’s hips for perfect fit and weight distribution. The harness also uses 3D memory foam with mesh for maximum airflow and has a back accessory pocket. It packs down into the included zipper pouch, and fits waist sizes from 60cm to 130cm.

Also new for sound recordists is the OR-117 boom pole holder, which enables quick attachment and release between the boom pole and harness, light stand, or another device. It allows users to have both hands on the mixer when the boom is not needed.

The OR-117 uses neoprene with antifriction internal fabric and consists of two parts: one wraps around the boom pole; the other attaches to a harness strap or light stand. The components connect quickly via a magnetic Fidlock locking system buckle, which releases only when a tab is pulled.
