Morten Brandstrup has been responsible for TV2 News technology development since 2008 and previously built Denmark’s first 24H News channel. He also built up East Production, one of the biggest Nordic SNG service suppliers, now owned by TV2 Denmark. 

Brandstrup is a keynote speaker, organiser, and board member in several international organisations including World Broadcast Union International Media Connectivity Group (WBU-IMCG), EBU Technology 5G Content Production, and IBC’s Accelerator innovation Programme.

Since 1989 Brandstrup has worked with nearly all aspects of live TV production, in roles spanning SNG operator, director, reporter, cameraman, editor, sound engineer and field producer.

He has worked all over the world with live TV production including 10 years on the Tour de France, Le Mans, the World Cup, European Football, Handball and the Olympics. His experience also ranges covering events such as the Royal Jubilee, royal weddings, elections around Europe, Afghanistan and the US, the inauguration of Obama, the Riga for the BBC in Tallinn, entertainment such as the Eurovision Song Contest , and many more.

Brandstrup has learned that connectivity is everything when you want to tell a live news story, something which has always been his drive and passion: to make it possible to tell live stories.

Bram Tullemans is the Senior Program Manager for Technology and Innovation at the European Broadcasting Union. Bram has been serving at the European Broadcasting Union for over 12+ years.

Alessandro Lucco-Castello received the Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic of Turin in 2017. He then started working as a security consultant on computer networks.

In 2018 he became researcher at the RAI-Radiotelevisione Italiana Research Center in Turin. His currently scientific interests include all the aspects related to mobile and fixed networks in the perspective of a possible 4G/5G mobile TV converged scenario.

The research group of which he is a member is lately working on laboratory testing and verification of 5G Broadcast TV transmission and reception systems. The laboratory work is then always verified with field tests with measurement campaigns in different regions of Italy. The results obtained are constantly shared and compared with national and international groups.
