Among the product highlights at the Black Box IBC virtual exhibitor space is the company’s Emerald Unified KVM platform, which provides flexibility and network security in a KVM extension and switching system.
The low-latency Emerald 4K and Emerald SE transmitter-receiver pairs connect workstations with remote computers and servers over distances up to 10km over single-mode fibre, or even farther over IP.
The new Remote App for the Emerald platform is a KVM software receiver that enables remote computer access to both physical and virtual machines from any Windows 10 device. The Remote App increases mobility, device access and monitoring on an Emerald System and delivers a full HD video desktop experience up to 40fps from multiple connections that can be launched simultaneously. This facilitates device management and access to an Emerald KVM network from anywhere, according to Black Box.
It supports HD video up to 1920x1200 and provides access to both physical and virtual machines over an IP network or WAN connection, and open connections to multiple devices simultaneously are possible. Its licence-based access authentication via the Boxilla KVM Network Manager in real time ensures that the Emerald administrator has full control.
