Panasonic has partnered with 3D graphics specialist Brainstorm to develop PTZF (pan, tilt, zoom and focus) tracking data for its AW-UE150 camera to provide augmented reality content.
Together they have set up a virtual reality stage on the Panasonic stand, where Brainstorm’s InfinitySet is being shown working with the UE150, providing in-context, data-driven graphics with full accuracy. The AR workflow also includes automatic tracking of live performers using Blacktrax tracking beacons to include additional real-time graphics following the artists.
Jaume Miró, European sales engineer, Panasonic Broadcast & ProAV, said: “Integrating our high-end 4K PTZ camera with virtual and augmented reality applications has been a long-term request from our customers.”
Miró also claims the new system shows how easy and effective Panasonic PTZ cameras are to integrate into third-party applications.
Panasonic is exhibiting at IBC2019 on Stand 11.C45.
