2. Explore the IBC Conference
Scaling up to three days in 2024 from two last year, the IBC Conference is moving to the Auditorium Complex at the RAI with two theatres and a large, self-contained Lounge open to all attendees.
This paid conference features the foremost thought-leaders, innovators and policy makers in their fields. Covering a wide breadth of topics over a full daily programme, the IBC Conference will explore new strategies and business models, tackle current issues, provoke change and reveal future technological progress.

Brand new this year, the IBC AI Tech Zone brings leading minds together to discuss the most advanced and innovative technologies in the world of AI. Head to Hall 14 for cutting-edge panel discussions, sessions and quality networking as exhibitors map out a re-imagined future of media. Visit Hall 5 and its new extension in Hall 14 at the RAI for the popular Content Everywhere showcase, where 200 companies across broadcast and broadband mix to reveal exciting new products, solutions and services. Showcasing the latest technologies for the multi-platform delivery and monetisation of live and on-demand online content services, Content Everywhere exhibitors range from IBC debutantes and start-ups to some of the biggest names in online tech, including EVS Broadcast Equipment, Zixi, Comcast and AWS.

5. Experience the Accelerator Innovation Programme
The Accelerator Innovation Programme is the place for anyone contemplating the future of media. At IBC2024, eight new Accelerator Innovation Projects and one Special Incubator Project will explore some of the hottest topics (and biggest problems) in the industry today. This year’s projects include:
- ECOFLOW: Energy-Conserving Optimization for Future-ready, Low-impact Online Workflows, including Accedo, Humans Not Robots, Greening of Streaming amongst others.

6. Drop by the IBC Owner Pavilion
Meet the IBC owners at the IBC Owner Pavilion, where you can engage with representatives from each of IBC’s owners - IABM, SMPTE, SCTE, IET, RTS and IEEE BTS - the six leading international bodies behind IBC. Each year at the show, they deliver a multitude of sessions covering a wide variety of topics from the latest industry standards and strategies for business transformation, to defining future networks and building new broadcast infrastructures.
At the IBC Owner Pavilion you can engage with representatives from each of IBC’s owners, arrange meetings, digest specially curated content, learn about all their latest initiatives and find out how you or your company can get more closely involved.

7. Read cutting-edge Technical Papers
Each year IBC offers the opportunity for visitors to dive deep into the most expert voices in the community. The IBC Technical Papers present original, novel research on solutions to real-world problems faced by the international broadcast and digital media industry.
The papers cover all industry sectors across the media, entertainment and technology industries and are delivered by a mix of industry professionals, academics and R&D experts.
The successful Technical Papers will be presented as part of the IBC2024 Conference from 13-16 September.

8. Kick back at The Beach
The Beach is the place to immerse yourself after a day at the show before night falls. This year it will be as bustling as ever. This infamous bar and sandy networking space is also the ideal place to take a break between visits to the RAI’s many halls. It’s the perfect setting to catch up with old friends, colleagues and new connections over drinks and snacks.
9. Check out the IBC Talent Programme
New this year, IBC is launching a series of dedicated sessions focused on empowering professionals and addressing key skills needs within the industry, to recognise the importance of attracting and retaining a diverse workforce.
In collaboration with key stakeholders, partners, and the IBC owners, these sessions will explore mentoring for young workers, developing diversity targets, talent retention, upskilling and attracting the next generation to the industry.
The programme also features networking drinks, breakfast and an inaugural World Skills Café for knowledge-sharing and information, a hub for developing tangible solutions to workplace and diversity challenges.

10. Attend the IBC Innovation Awards
The IBC Innovation Awards celebrate the successes of collaborative efforts that develop new solutions to real-world technical challenges and projects which address social and environmental issues throughout the industry. Founded over 20 years ago, the awards are judged by a panel of editors and consultants, drawn from around the industry and around the world.
The awards span five categories at the heart of industry innovation: Content Creation, Content Distribution, Content Everywhere, Environment & Sustainability and Social Impact.
This year’s shortlist includes the likes of ESPN, with Disney/ Pixar for Content Creation, Red Bull Media House for Content Everywhere, and France Télévisions for Environment and Sustainability for their efforts in reducing CO2 emissions.
The winning entries will be announced at a single ceremony during the show which runs 13-16 September at the RAI Amsterdam.
