The French Football League (LFP) has confirmed that DAZN and beIN Sports have secured the broadcasting rights to the country’s top football division Ligue 1.
The deal has been ratified by the LFP’s Board of Directors.
DAZN has acquired most of the rights and will broadcast, live and exclusively, eight League 1 matches on each day, as well as the Champions Trophy and playoff matches. In total, DAZN will carry 306 matches.
The Ligue 1 deal makes France the fourth major European domestic market for DAZN, alongside Germany, Italy and Spain.
For its part, beIN Sports will offer live and exclusive one Ligue 1 match every day of the championship.

The last-minute deal was signed just weeks before the start of the French season with the total financial commitment reported to be close to €500m annually for the domestic broadcast rights, down from the €582m received during the previous deal.
The deal starts on August 16 and runs for the next five seasons.
Vincent Labrune, President of the Professional Football League, said: “The negotiations have been intense because we wanted to reach agreements that are in the interest of all the clubs and that will allow French football to continue its development and increase its attractiveness.”
Shay Segev, CEO of DAZN Group, said: “This is an exciting moment for DAZN and French football. Ligue 1 McDonald’s is a fantastic competition with great clubs and a reputation for some of the most gifted and talented players in world football.”
