Anna Mallett, Netflix’s Vice President of Production, EMEA/UK, is to chair the Royal Television Society’s (RTS) biennial forum for television and media, the RTS London Convention 2024.
For 2024, the Convention is titled The Next Episode: Keeping Our Creative Edge and will focus on how the UK can hold on to its creative reputation, take advantage of the opportunities of the future, and navigate the challenges.
The initial line-up of high-profile industry leaders confirmed to speak at the Convention includes: Tim Davie, Director-General of the BBC; Alex Mahon, CEO of Channel 4; Carolyn McCall, CEO of ITV; Amol Rajan, Journalist and Presenter, and Ted Sarandos, Co-CEO, Netflix.
Richard Osman and Marina Hyde will also be joining with further industry heavyweights announced in the coming weeks.

The event will take place on 17 September at Kings Place, London. Netflix has come on board as the Principal Sponsor.
Mallett said: “Netflix has been part of the UK’s creative community for over a decade now, and it’s a real honour to be the first streamer to chair this year’s RTS Convention.”
Theresa Wise, CEO of the Royal Television Society, said: “As ever, identifying a pertinent theme, one that celebrates and also challenges the industry, is critical to our Convention.”
