Led by Keran Boyd, Accelerator Lead at IBC, a Future Tech Stage session at IBC2025 proposed the development of a cloud-based routing and monitoring system for live media streams, enabling seamless acquisition, transport, and oversight entirely within the cloud. The panel included: Adrian Roe, CEO and Founder at Norsk by id3as; Chris Fellows, Director of Global Solutions Engineering at Zixi; Rostam Kilgour, Manager at First Line Response RTE; and Tom Everest, Head of Architecture and Supply Chain, Broadcast and End-User Technology at BBC.
On the Future Tech stage, Michelle Munson, CEO and co-founder of Eluvio, presented an approach to AI and video distribution at scale, focusing on their core technology, the content fabric.

Sarah Chase (Freelance) was joined by Fran Burnham (Base), Lewis Smithingtham (Monks) and Mirok Nedelijkovic (Suitest) to explore how cloud technology and AI are revolutionising media workflows, enhancing productivity, and driving digital transformation.
At IBC2025, one key Future Tech panel delved into the cutting-edge solutions powering smarter monetisation strategies in an increasingly complex and fast-moving media ecosystem. The line-up included: Allan McLennan, Executive Member of IET Media Technical Network and Chief Executive at PADEM Media Group; Jeremy Howell, Vice President iof Strategic Accounts at RightsLine; Jesse Schenk, CEO of Showfer Media; Kanchan Ray of CTO of Nagarro; and Neal Michie, VP of Product Management at PACE Anti Piracy.
Stan Moote led the discussion on strategies for engaging the next generation of viewers through personalised and interactive user experiences, leveraging AI tools while addressing privacy concerns. He was joined by Pedro Centierio (Magycal), Ross Tanner (Magnifi), Serge Tatarchenko (Noisypeak) and Tony Huidor (Matchpoint).
IBC’s Mark Smith held a discussion on the importance of stamping content to authenticate provenance with Henrik Cox (OpenOrigins), Judy Parnall (BBC), Mohamed Badr Taddist (EBU) and Tim Forrest (ITN).
Fremantle’s Jens Richter and ProSiebenSat’s Thomas Gruber discuss the ongoing battle for audience attention and the opportunities and challenges surrounding AI.
