Innovation Stage

Starting with the incredibly innovative Accelerators programme, the team behind the three projects under the umbrella theme: “AI Media Innovation Lab” will explore a series of specific AI concepts in various production scenarios within this exciting, fast-moving and disruptive area of media and technology, at 10:45 on Hall 3’s Innovation Stage.

Next up at 12:15, the thinkers and do-ers behind the project: “IP Networks: Finding the Needle in the Haystack,” will demonstrate findings around various AI tools and techniques to improve creativity and efficiency in production workflows, stamping out bias and AI hallucinations to embrace audience sentiments in content development, and exploring predictive video workflows in sports production.

IBC Talent Programme

It’s an IBC Showcase Theatre takeover this year with the IBC Talent Programme, where topics fundamental to industry growth are given a well-deserved platform: recruiting and retaining talent, and diversity and inclusion.

At 10:15 the World Skills Café talks commitments to educating and training the industry’s future workforce in: “Working collectively to educate the workforce of tomorrow.”

Rise Academy steps up at 10:35 to discuss “Career development: Hear from the next generation of industry talent.”

The day continues with mentoring, new talent strategies and comes to a close at 12:25 with “SMPTE Education: Empowering the innovators of tomorrow,” as President Renard Jenkin provides insight into the association’s Education initiatives and how they are providing platforms for young engineers in the formative stages of their media careers.

Content Everywhere

The CE Stage goes out with a bang with Stage 1 hosting an expert panel at 10:45, sharing their insights into how AI has the potential to revolutionise personalisation in “Enhancing content discovery, personalisation and user experience with AI.”

Then at 12:45 learn about the market of TV OS and how it will consolidate over time in the conversation, “Why Independent TV Operating Systems Will Win in the TV OS Wars.”

Stage 2 delivers more food for thought with Igalia’s session “Improving WPE’s graphics pipeline” at 11:15, opening the possibility to create a new and simplified API.

IBC esports Zone and AI Tech Zone

From 10:00, the esports zone in Hall 8 will host Shikenso with Sponsorship Success: UNLOCKED; How to analyse and evaluate broadcast integrations in esports,” on the different types of broadcast integrations in the esports realm.

Then at 13:30, Being joined by some of the esports industry’s most knowledgeable people, a panel will dive into what creates success in reaching the young audience that so many companies find challenging to reach in “Cracking the Youth Code: Strategies to Capturing the Attention of the Next Generation.”

Meanwhile in the AI Tech Zone in Hall 14, academics will talk about the Vera.ai project, dedicated to advancing trustworthy AI solutions in the fight against disinformation in the 10:45 session, “Truly Media: Collaborative news verification with the use of A.”

IBC Owner & Partner Programme

Four insightful technical lectures will delve into the dynamic realm of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the video/media industry, how is AI revolutionising content creation, editing and distribution and what can we learn about the potential it holds for transforming the way we interact with video and media? Join SCTE in E102 at 12:00, “SCTE - The opportunities and limitations for AI in video.”

Exhibition floor

Out on the Exhibition floor, you can expect the usual hive of activity with stands from the biggest names in the industry and those new start-ups breaking the mould, all demonstrating their cutting edge tech.
