A software-only playout deployment system, a 360-degree live streaming platform and vision analytics are among the solutions from technology vendors shortlisted for the IABM BaM awards.

The IABM BaM (broadcast and media) awards recognise the ongoing innovation in broadcast and media technology with the winners showcasing innovation and collaboration. 

This year saw a record number of entries with a panel of more than 40 non-affiliated judges set to scrutinise the final entrants during the NAB show.

The award categories have been modelled on the IABM’s view of the industry, from creation through to management and consumption.

IABM director strategic insight and chair of the judging panel John Ive said: “Once again, we have had a difficult job paring down so many high quality entries to produce this shortlist.

“The BaM Content Chain model has given us an excellent framework to assess the potential impact of entries across the flow of the new content factory and it is heartening that innovation continues to drive our industry forward in every part of the content chain.

”The shortlisted entries are all of the highest quality – now it is down to the judges to select the very best of the best.”
