Audinate is showcasing Dante Connect, a new cloud solution for remote audio production, as well as Dante AV for live production. Along with a new API that comes with Dante Domain Manager (DDM), these technologies bring Dante control to third-party devices.
The company is partnering with almost 70 vendors at IBC and is running a live demo where audio originating in London is processed in the cloud and sent to Sydney, Paris and the Audinate stand in the RAI over an AWS backbone. The company claims Dante Connect allows broadcasters to centralise end-to-end production facilities across multiple remote locations simultaneously, even over long distances.
Patrick Prothe, Director of Marketing, Audinate, said: “Dante Connect facilitates remote production. The intent is to centralise audio production, so rather than having multiple studios you can centralise operations and send audio wherever you need it to go.”
The new API within DDM, which is making its IBC debut, allows users, service providers, integrators and software developers to bring Dante control to third-party products.
