Janson Media made use of Accedo One, the SaaS platform for white-label OTT multi-screen video services, to deploy its new media streaming service, Janson TV.
With a subscriber base on YouTube of over six million globally and a growing audience on its FAST channels, Janson selected Accedo One to help optimise and expand its reach, delivering its streaming service to Web, Roku and FireTV apps, with plans to expand further in the future.
Janson TV was launched as a pure play AVOD platform with embedded live TV streaming, monetised by the company’s own programmatic ad server. Content hubs on the new platform include several Janson-owned or managed brands and channels, including cultural icon Bob Ross, celebrity-chef food and cooking channel Hungry, and the kids pre-school brand Giggle Mug.
Jesse Janson, EVP of acquisitions and development for Janson Medi, said: “We were keen to launch our own consumer-facing streaming service to give viewers access to our wide range of content across multiple platforms. It was important that we could leverage existing investments in video delivery and ad-serving technology while delivering an engaging and intuitive user experience for consumers, and ensuring we can grow the service as required. Accedo One’s evolving feature and functionality roadmap and best-of-breed vendor marketplace has enabled us to do just that.”
