Real-time video streaming platform provider nanocosmos has partnered with bare metal cloud provider servers.com to enhance its coverage in the EU, Asia and the United States.

In 2016, nanocosmos hit a milestone for the streaming industry: the launch of its unique H5Live Player, capable of delivering streams to all devices worldwide in under a second.

Oliver Lietz, CEO of nanocosmos, said: “Since then, the streaming industry has evolved significantly, driven by rapid technological advancements and shifting media consumer habits.”

Today, viewers of interactive streaming can be in multiple locations across the globe, all using different devices. Demand for fast and reliable video delivery is at an all-time high and the need for scalable, secure, high-quality streaming has intensified.

Providing cutting-edge audio and video delivery solutions requires a continuous commitment to innovation.

“We stay open to new technologies, continuously integrating the latest advancements to enhance our streaming capabilities,” said Lietz.

For nanocosmos, infrastructure forms a big part of this commitment to innovation. Adaptive bitrate (ABR) streaming and a robust Content Delivery Network (CDN) are integral to delivering top-tier streaming experiences despite variation in internet connection quality.

Because of this, the company has chosen to partner with servers.com in a bid to diversify compute sources for its solution nanoStream and its CDN.

“For our live transcoding processes, we need high-performance servers in locations all over the world and bare metal from servers.com is one of the important building blocks for our CDN,” said Lietz.

Supported by servers.com, nanocosmos maintains a modern, stable and high-performance environment with 100% available infrastructure. The partnership has already enabled nanocosmos to enhance its coverage across Europe, Asia and the U.S., and the team are now looking to expand even further.

To celebrate the partnership, Oliver Lietz will join servers.com streaming specialist, Lukas Navickas at IBC this year for a discussion on how to deliver live, low-latency video at scale. Join them at the Content Everywhere Stage (Hall 14) on 15 September at 17:30.
