cloudSwXtch aims to accelerate the industry’s adoption of ST 2110 IP workflows

In addition, swXtch.io is demonstrating how cloudSwXtch can now send both compressed JPEG-XS (TR 07 and TR 08) and uncompressed SMPTE ST 2110 workflows into and through the cloud from on-prem systems. Also on show is lossless UDP, providing additional protection for media streams across dynamic bridging and multi-cloud networking applications.

Brent Yates, CEO, swXtch.io, observes that enthusiasm for managing live production workflows in the cloud was guarded when cloudSwXtch debuted at IBC2022, “given the clear lack of parallels between how on-prem and cloud networks were structured”.

“This year, we are excited to share how cloudSwXtch increasingly aligns on-prem and cloud infrastructure to help broadcasters create one big network that is deployable, monitorable, and functional across clouds, and accelerate the industry’s adoption of ST 2110 IP workflows,” said Yates.
