Veset has added support for SMPTE 2022-7 in the latest update to its cloud-based playout solution, Veset Nimbus.

According to Gatis Gailis, CEO of Veset, the new standard will “allow for substantial scalability and security within Veset Nimbus. Levelling up in sophistication and experience, the new standard will introduce a new era of professional and seamless playout development”.

Veset decided to integrate the SMPTE 2022-7 protocol to meet its clients’ needs. The integration of SMPTE 2022-7 within Veset Nimbus offers redundancy as well as switching and synchronisation between the primary and redundant streams.
