Spanish public broadcaster RTVE has launched its international streaming service rtveplay+ in Europe.
The platform gives access to RTVE premium content through a monthly or annual subscription after an initial seven-day free trial period.
It offers access to Spanish series, films, news and entertainment from RTVE, as well as live channels.
This is the first time it has been available to audiences across Europe. rtveplay+ previously launched in Latin America, the US and Canada at the start of 2019.

RTVE said the launch of rtveplay+ in Europe is part of its internationalisation strategy, allowing it to showcase the best of Spanish public television.
“RTVE wants this platform to constitute a springboard to make Spain’s thriving audiovisual industry known throughout the world,” said RTVE in a statement. “rtveplay+ represents a very important step in the strategy to expand the reach of the best content on Spanish television, overcoming territorial limitations and using all the resources that technology offers.”
RTVE is Spain’s largest state-owned public media company. It comprises TVE, home to seven television channels, RNE with six radio stations, the RTVE.es website and the RTVE Play platform.
