Showcasing how the company says it is addressing the future of broadcasting, Newtec is demonstrating its solutions for the growing OTT market and all-IP newsgathering applications.
Hans Massart, market director, broadcast, at Newtec, said: “The key to both OTT and all-IP newsgathering is successful transmission, with satellite being at the heart of this. To achieve this, broadcasters need a flexible and adaptable satellite bandwidth management system which can send IP traffic over satellite as efficiently as possible.”
Newtec is demonstrating how its Newtec Dialog multiservice VSAT platform provides a solution for both OTT and all-IP newsgathering applications. According to the company, it delivers successful broadcast transmission through cost-effective scaling to a number of receivers, efficient content delivery to geographical areas, and providing customers with availability where no other terrestrial return channel exists.
The solution fits perfectly into the world of mobile journalism, Newtec believes, ensuring lower costs, quicker response times and greater mobility over traditional approaches. This, the company says, is backed by Newtec’s work with a number of service providers including Network Innovations (Maverick), Dejero/Intelsat (CellSat), SES/MX1 (OU Flex), and Tier-1 broadcasters such as the BBC.
Newtex is exhibiting at IBC2019 on Stand 1.A49.
