European streaming tech company Bedrock announced the launch of M6+, the new AVOD streaming platform by Groupe M6 that is now available for free across devices in France.
According to Bedrock, the service features “new interactive live viewing, seamless audio experience, and a vertical video player for stories, all available for free on an AVOD model”.
M6+ is currently distributed through set-top box providers such as Orange, Bouygues Telecom, and Free and integrates with smart TVs and OTT devices from brands including Samsung, LG, Hisense, Philips, Android TV, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire TV.
The platform is also available on all Apple iOS and Android devices and will soon be extended to in-car entertainment systems.
Henri de Fontaines, member of the M6 executive board in charge of strategy, streaming and distribution, said: “Our long-standing partnership with Bedrock has been a key factor in the success of launching our new platform, M6+. Bedrock deeply understood our streaming vision and transformed it into practical innovations with remarkable ingenuity. We’re delighted to bring these advancements to our users in France.”
