Black Box is showing new additions to its Emerald KVM-over-IP platform that it claims offers “exceptional user experiences with anywhere, anytime remote access”.
The new EmeraldAV Wall features the same small-form-factor layout as its existing Emerald Deskvue, which allows users to create a personalised workspace in which they can monitor and interact with up to 16 physical and virtual machines.
EmeraldAV Wall, for both AV and KVM, enables seamless interoperability with Emerald KVM-over-IP systems while also supporting non-KVM environments. It should be ideal for small control rooms, where it will make it easy to display a single source from an Emerald KVM or AV installation on a video wall for viewing by a larger group. EmeraldAV Wall directly supports a 2x2 video wall, but this number can be increased using additional units.
According to Tom Fitzgerald, KVM Product Manager, Black Box, the latest additions to Emerald means it can cater for users “looking for seamless control over multiple computers from a single user console using desktop KVMs, or wanting to establish hybrid workspaces by distributing top-notch video, audio, and peripheral signals across physical and virtualised server infrastructures with varied interfaces and resolutions”.
