Chicago-based Signature Production Group, a live and virtual event production company, have adopted Quicklink Studio and Quicklink ST102s as a go-to solution for connecting remote presenters into virtual events.
The Quicklink solutions were provided to Signature by systems integrator Key Code Media.
Like most organisations, the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) cancelled its yearly meeting and had a requirement to connect 4,000 members worldwide for a multi-day virtual meeting. Atlanta-based technical agency 3D-TD contracted Signature to broadcast the General Sessions through one of its ten virtual control rooms. For this event, Signature used Quicklink Studio and Quicklink ST102s to connect bidirectional audio and video to Singapore, Denver, Oklahoma City, Fort Worth and Las Vegas, all through its facility outside of Chicago.
Dave Schwarz, owner of Signature Production Group, said: “Quicklink is our ‘top shelf’ solution for connecting remote presenters. We needed it to be as easy as possible, secure, high-quality and 100% reliable. It checks off all of those boxes and is our go to when our clients can afford the best connection method possible.”
He continued: “When we bought our first handful of ST102s we thought that they’d be used exclusively for connecting to keynote presenters, celebrities and C-level speakers. But after one use, every producer wants to use them for their future productions. We have 32 now, but we’ll continue to add more – they are the perfect tool for the job!”
Joel Paige, general manager of Signature Production Group, added: “At first, it looked like the product we were looking for didn’t exist due to our simultaneous use of NDI video and Dante audio. But the Quicklink developers stepped up and customised a solution that fit our workflow perfectly. The collaborative relationship between our companies has been a big part of the key to the success we’ve had with the Quicklink solutions.”
