Top brands, including Accenture, AWS, Google, Microsoft, Wondershare and Zixi, will be taking to the Showcase Theatre stage during IBC2023 to share their latest thinking and views on a number of topics impacting the media and entertainment sector. Generative AI will also be an area of focus for Accenture, along with cloud and how to engage sports fans and get them closer to the action.
Accenture Global Communications & Media Industry Lead Andy Walker remarks: “For us, a key aspect of our Showcase Theatre presence is to identify the main themes that we see in the industry, particularly around technology, and to explore how media companies are using that technology creatively and to digitise their businesses.”
AWS will then be hosting a full day of events on Saturday, before Zixi kick off a packed day on Sunday, focusing on the economic advantages of IP delivery.
John Wastcoat, SVP Strategic Alliances and Marketing at Zixi, reveals: “Zixi customers and partners – including Group Director of Content, Broadcast & Platforms at Sky, David Travis – will discuss their deployments of Zixi [live video over IP technology], which is the most sustainable and cost-effective solution available. The Zixi Protocol, along with the SDVP, on average require 50% less bandwidth and 60% less compute [than other available solutions], while being 10 times more port efficient and saving 50% of egress costs. Sustainability initiatives are important to the industry, but especially when it is financially attractive to adopt.”
