Tiger Technology has introduced Media Bridge, its first fully-automated cloud workflow with augmented intelligence for applications that use the Adobe Extensible Metadata Platform (XMP).
From automatic proxy generation, object detection, speech-to-text and celebrity recognition to automated translation and more, Media Bridge can take the ability of AI services to add value to desktops and users anywhere.
It is claimed to be “a bidirectional connector for seamless and efficient exchange of files and metadata”. When connected to a common cloud bucket or container, users can benefit from shared media and metadata in real time. The system includes automatic cloud proxy and metadata generation for all applications compatible with Adobe XMP.
The process is simple: Media Bridge replicates local media in its native format for cloud AI processing, then the cloud-created metadata is married to both the cloud objects and local media files. Metadata updates then appear automatically in all Adobe XMP compatible applications, such as Premiere Pro, Adobe Bridge and After Effects. Using the Tiger Tags plug-in for Premiere Pro, automatically generated AI metadata can then be displayed in Premiere Pro as markers.
By leveraging cloud AI services to speed the generation of metadata and augment manually intensive workflows, the company claims that “significant value can be added to existing media assets”. The new cloud workflow provides centralised storage for remote users. Combined with global file locking, this enables full support for using Productions in Premiere Pro with remote collaboration workflows.
Productions in Premiere Pro provides tools for organising multi-project workflows, sharing assets between projects, and ensuring streamlined and efficient collaboration between users. With Media Bridge, opening a Premiere Pro project containing hundreds of clips should be very efficient, as only the necessary data is streamed from the cloud. Automatic proxy generation enables users with lower bandwidth to toggle between high-res and proxy versions, and still only stream the necessary data.
“We’ve created a software technology that is unique in enabling optimised hybrid cloud workflows for media and entertainment,” said Alex Lefterov, Tiger Technology’s founder and CTO. “Media Bridge keeps data in its native format to be available long term for any application and at any location. It is perfect for anyone, user or developer, wanting to extend the benefits of cloud storage, data durability, and to increase the value of any media collection with cloud processing and AI services.”
