Bríd Dooley, Head of Archives at RTÉ
Bríd Dooley is Head of Archives for RTÉ, Ireland’s Public Service Media organisation. She has been a formative leader of the archives at RTÉ from joining in 2000, later taking on the role of Head of Department and responsible for integrating the whole of archive services across the organisation from 2012.
She is former president of FIAT/IFTA, the International Federation of Television Archives, and long-standing active member of this professional network. She continues to support initiatives to safeguard, promote and develop audiovisual archives internationally. In RTÉ she is currently working across a range of projects and change management as part of an organisational-wide digital transformation strategy which includes a strong focus on the preservation and development of a fully integrated digital archive service and business for RTÉ.
She was most recently honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award by FOCAL International in 2022, for her ‘outstanding contribution and dedication to the audiovisual industry’ Focal International | Lifetime Achievement Award 2022.
Denis Leconte, Vice President of Technology at Iron Mountain Entertainment Services
Denis Leconte has over 25 years’ experience working for Iron Mountain, NASA, Disney, Sony, and several post-production facilities, designing and deploying database and media handling systems and large scale, high-performance computing and storage architectures. He has over 15 years’ experience in post-production and digital media and data lifecycle management.
At Iron Mountain Entertainment Services, he oversees all technology issues over several facilities that cover North America and Europe, as well as many special projects dealing with media and data preservation and restoration. Leconte has won an Academy Award for Scientific and Engineering achievement in the field of film preservation, and more recently has served as a Surrogate with the Academy’s Science and Technology Council. He also co-chaired the 2021-2022 session of the ETC (Entertainment and Technology Center) Archive Working Group.
Quinton Schmidt, Broadcast Operations and Technology Consultant
Quinton is a freelance broadcast consultant in the African region. He has worked in the broadcast industry for more than 20 years with experience in Broadcast Operations and Technology Management. Some of his achievements range from loudness standardisation at Multichoice across all general entertainment channels produced in-house, to simplifying content processing and raising the quality for the East African content productions for Multichoice.
Quinton also worked with Dolby for the last 4 years to grow adoption of immersive technology in Africa.
His most recent project is working with the team of streaming service Wi-Flix and MediaCloud to simplify media processing and archiving requirements.

He supports multiple leading media technology suppliers on product and go-to-market strategy, and is advising leading broadcasters, streaming services and pay TV operators. Rob holds an MBA with Distinction from Imperial College, London.
