IBC is organising a charity fundraising football match against a team of Dutch footballing legends as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations.
Registrations are now open for anyone who would like to play in the IBC Big Match against Lucky Ajax, a team made up of a host of ex-professional Dutch footballers.
Places on the IBC team are limited to 13 and priced at €1,500, with all funds raised going to Friendship Sports Centre and the Edwin van der Sar Foundation.
Both charities provide support and rehabilitation to improve the lives of children and adults faced with illnesses or disabilities by providing the opportunity to take part in activities that aren’t readily available to them.
The Friendship Sports Centre (FSC) is an Amsterdam-based charity that supports children and young adults who have a physical, mental health disability or chronic illness.
It is the parent charity and home of Only Friends, The Edwin van der Sar Foundation and several other charities. The monies will be received by the FSC and distributed to the charities.
Only Friends aims to offer an increased quality of life for children through participation in team sports.
The Edwin van der Sar Foundation implements projects to support people with brain injuries through rehabilitation, participation and prevention.
Spectators are encouraged to watch the game with free entry to the stadium.
The IBC Big Match will kick off on 16 September at Friendship Sports Centre, Amsterdam.
